Charles entered financial services in 1989 after graduating from Leeds University with a science degree. He is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, having completed the requisite amount of exams and practical experience.

As well as performing his duties as Joint Managing Partner, Charles still actively advises those clients with capital to invest who may have more complex needs.

Charles is married with four children. He leads an active sporting life, enjoying golf and participating in triathlons, and he spends a considerable amount of time following his children's various sporting activities.

Charles is also proud to be actively involved with the management of the St Wilfrids Centre, a charity in Sheffield helping vulnerable people with mental health needs.
